John Rigby, London. Stunning matched pair of best 12ga. self-opening side lock “The Sandringham” light weight game guns made exclusively for Rigby by Pedro Arrizabalaga, ca. early 1980’s. Both guns weigh 6 ½ lbs. Stock Dimensions for both guns are the same: 14 7/8”x 1 3/8”x 2 ¼”x ¼” cast-off.  Superb, identical, 28” chopperlump steel barrels with 2 ¾” chambers and brilliant mint bores (all measuring .727”) choked .005”/.018”. Full length file cut game ribs.  Holland and Holland style self-opening actions with Holland hand-detachable bar-action side locks. The lock plates are jeweled on the inside and the intercepting safety sear lock internals are fitted and polished to the exacting standards of a best English gun. Color hardened actions with beautifully executed, full coverage, bold scroll engraving. Bushed firing pins, ejectors, and automatic safety. Double triggers with articulated front triggers. Highly figured and beautifully matched straight grip, walnut stocks and splinter forends.  Checkered butts. Original Maker’s case with all original accessories. Overall quality is absolutely impeccable and the equal of best English self-opening side lock guns in every way. This extraordinarily handsome pair of guns, bought from Rigby in London around 1982 and never used, remain in absolutely mint condition throughout and I do not know how you would find a better pair of guns for the money.
