John Rigby, London. Best 12ga. self-opening side lock The Sandringham light weight game gun made exclusively for Rigby by Pedro Arrizabalaga, ca. early 1980s. Weight: 6 lbs. Stock Dimensions: 15x 1 3/8x 2 x 3/8 cast-off. Superb 28 chopper lump steel barrels with 2 chambers and brilliant bores (.727/.727) choked .006/.018. Full length file cut game rib. Holland and Holland style self-opening actions with Holland hand-detachable bar-action side locks. The lock plates are jeweled on the inside and the intercepting safety sear lock internals are fitted and polished to the exacting standards of a best English gun. Color hardened action with beautifully executed, full coverage, bold scroll engraving. Bushed firing pins, ejectors, and automatic safety. Double triggers with articulated front trigger. Highly figured, straight grip, walnut stock and splinter forend. Checkered butt. Original Makers case with all original accessories. Overall quality is absolutely impeccable and the equal of a best English self-opening side lock gun in every way. This superb gun was bought from Rigby in London around 1982 and never used. It remains in absolutely mint condition throughout and I do not know how you would find a better gun for the money.
